How the f*** do you define “perfect”? To me, my children are perfect. To me, my husband is perfect. To me, I am getting closer everyday to be perfect. It’s all relative; we all have our own perspective on what makes us perfect or not. But going around and telling the world that no one can attain their own perfection, that’s just wrong. We need to stop with that whole gibberish. I’m so sick of it. A messy house doesn’t make you less perfect; yelling at your kids once doesn’t make you the worst mother on earth; wearing your pajama’s all day doesn’t make you the laziest human being; having an extra 5-10 lbs doesn’t make you the ugliest person in the universe! Just stop! In our quest to achieve perfection (well, what we think it is…), we make ourselves miserable and we forget to enjoy life. We are drowning in the pool of guilt. And believe me, that pool is huge and cold. Don’t stay in there for too long…
Just let yourself be. The more you accept who you are, the closer you will get to perfection; because you won’t see it as something is wrong with you, but something that is a part of you. That very unique you. Start loving who you are (like, right now!) and stop trying to succeed at being perfect and realize that maybe you already are.
So, for all of you out there thinking that no one, no-no one is perfect, I think you’re wrong. But don’t worry, it doesn’t make you less of a perfect human. 😉
